Marissa Corbett is a Shamong, NJ-based professional dog trainer who has years of experience helping animals and their owners make positive changes and nurture trusting relationships. Marissa always had a passion for animals and got her formal start in dog training when she enrolled herself and her dog in a local class. She later attended That’s My Dog E-cademy as a trainer where she was able to hone her skills and learn effective, time tested, and humane training techniques from experienced professionals.

In 2010, Marissa Corbett founded Above and Beyond Dog Training, a business that specializes in training dogs to be obedient, well-adjusted family members. Above and Beyond Dog Training provides services such as personal evaluations that allow owners to better understand their dogs’ behavior and training needs, customized training plans, access to group training classes, socialization assistance, puppy basics, crate training, and more. 

Marissa has built a reputation in the dog training industry for her passion for comprehensive, efficient training for dogs and their families as well. Marissa understands as a mother of four with multiple dogs of her own just how important it is for dogs to be well-behaved and for their families to foster positive, trusting relationships with them. This understanding has played an important role in her decision to create a training program that heavily focuses on improving the quality of relationships between families and their pets in Shamong and the greater South Jersey area.
